PULASKI - 2018 CREWMEMBER OF THE YEAR, 2022
After the 2021 Crewmember Pulaski was awarded, I was asked to redesign the pulaski for the 2018 crewmember of the year. The original decoration was spraypainted on, so this was an opportunity, to rework the wood and make it susceptible to woodburning. We collaborated on the design: she asked specifically for a raven skull, and a gothic font. On the reverse, I designed a living raven perched on a human skull, to balance the design on the dominant side. The paint is a combination of wood paint that reacts to blacklight, and glitter lacquer as a fun touch. I enjoyed working on this Pulaski specifically as I became more comfortable with the woodburner, and also personalizing it to the tastes of the crewmember.
